HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH GOLO LEGAL?

All you need to do to get started with Golo Legal is just that – get started! You will be required to complete Intake Questions and Forms just to make sure we have enough information to provide our community of attorneys. Once you input your details, you will then launch your legal project and watch attorneys bid your price down.

I HAVE MULTIPLE LEGAL ISSUES, CAN I POST SEVERAL LEGAL PROJECTS AT ONCE?

Yes – you can post as many legal projects as you want. Please be aware that once you award the attorney with your legal project and they complete the project, you must pay the price agreed upon immediately. Please always make sure that you can cover multiple project costs at once, as at this time, we do not offer payment plans.

HOW MUCH SHOULD I OFFER TO PAY MY LAWYER?

What cost do you believe is reasonable for the legal services you need and what can you afford? Our aim at Golo Legal is to make sure legal services are as accessible as possible which means listing your legal project at a price you can afford.
Simply specify the initial fee you’re willing to pay and our community of attorneys will bid at, or below, the price you set. The rate you accept once you start receiving bids is what you pay. It’s that simple!

HOW CAN I MAKE SURE I GET A LAWYER THAT SUITS MY NEEDS?

The best way to ensure you receive as many offers as possible is to provide as much information about your project that is legally allowed in our intake forms. This occurs prior to your project going live. Multiple offers means multiple attorneys’ to potentially choose from. Our database of attorneys will review your project, determine if their services can assist you and then place their bid.

HOW DO I HIRE AND WORK WITH A LARGER TEAM?

At this moment, Golo Legal only offers the option of accepting one attorney bid. We are working on providing the option for larger legal teams for the future.

DOES GOLO LEGAL OFFER PAYMENT PLANS OR FINANCIAL AID?

No – at this time Golo Legal does not offer payment plans or financial aid. Golo Legal aims to provide accessible legal services to everyone at a price they can afford. We recommend posting your project, specifying a price you can afford and wait to see if any fish (attorneys) bite. You never know who could be willing to work with you at your desired price.

WHAT IF I WANT TO WORK WITH MY ATTORNEY AGAIN?

You are more than welcome to work with your attorney again – if you have a good thing, hold on to it and don’t let it go. At Golo Legal we always recommend using our message board system and to avoid taking conversations offline. You are not protected by Golo Legal if happenings do not take place on gololegal.com and Golo Legal accepts no responsibility for issues arising from external connections with lawyers from our community.

HOW DO I GET STARTED WITH GOLO LEGAL?

All you need to do to get started with Golo Legal is just that – get started! You will be required to create a profile and biography that will essentially ‘sell yourself’ to the client, input your payment details and off you go. You will then be able to search for legal projects, bid on legal projects, work with clients and then get paid! You can complete your work from anywhere! It’s as simple as that.

CAN I BID ON SEVERAL LEGAL PROJECTS AT ONCE?

Yes, you can place multiple bids on multiple legal projects that you wish to work on. If you offer the client the ‘best price’ for their legal project, they will award you as the winning lawyer. Please always keep in mind that you may ‘win’ multiple projects at the same time. It is up to you, the lawyer, to complete each legal project to the best of your ability and within the given time frame.

CAN YOU PLEASE EXPLAIN HOW THE 'REVERSE AUCTION' WORKS?

At Golo Legal, we believe it should be easy for consumers to find a lawyer at a price they can afford. A client will sign up to Golo Legal and post a legal project they need help with and the price they are willing to pay to get this legal project completed. You, the lawyer, has the ability to match the clients price or give them a better deal, “bidding down”, by offering a lower price for your work.

WHAT AMOUNT SHOULD I OFFER THE CLIENT TO COMPETE FOR THEIR WORK?

The amount you offer a client to complete their work depends largely on the price they specify they are willing to pay you. For example, a client may specify $800.00 for their legal project. You have the ability to match this price – place a bid for $800.00 – OR you can better their price and give the client a ‘better’ deal – place a bid for $650.00. It’s entirely up to you and what you think your time, energy and work is worth.

I KEEP PLACING BIDS BUT I AM NOT WINNING ANY LEGAL PROJECTS. WHY?

Golo Legal recommends monitoring your bids to ensure you are offering the best deal possible for the client. Beating the client’s specified price is a sure way of staying at the forefront of their minds.

HOW DO I HIRE AND WORK WITH A LARGER TEAM?

At this moment, Golo Legal offers legal projects to one attorney. We are working on providing the option for inviting fellow attorney friends and your larger legal teams to assist you in the near future.

WHAT IF MY CLIENT DOES NOT PAY ME?

Golo Legal has a reliable team that monitors legal projects and payments extremely closely. If you are having trouble will payment collection, please contact the Golo Legal team as soon as possible at concierge@gololegal.com

IS GOLO LEGAL SECURE?

At Golo Legal, your safety is our number one priority. We are a community protected by state of the art security. Your details, funds and transactions are secured with GoDaddy 256-bit SSL encryption.

WHAT DOES PCI COMPLIANT MEAN?

Being PCI Compliant is a set of requirements that are designed to protect people like you. The requirements ensure that we (Golo Legal) process, store and transmit your credit card information securely to avoid credit card fraud, hacking and security breaches.

What If I (Attorney) Want To Upgrade My Monthly Package?

Attorney’s have the option to upgrade their package. There are two options that Golo Legal offers for users who wish to do so.

Option 1: Attorney’s can renew (re-purchase) their current package and unlock the same amount of projects and bids. For example, an attorney who is on the $99 package could ‘use up’ their 2 projects in the first week. So what about the rest of the month? The attorney can purchase the $99 package again and unlock an extra 2 packages for the remainder of the month.

Option 2: Attorney’s can upgrade their current package and unlock a higher amount of project and bids. For example, an attorney who is on the $249 package could ‘use up’ their 5 projects in the first week. The attorney can upgrade to the $399 package for $150 and unlock unlimited projects.

Please note that if an attorney chooses to upgrade, Golo Legal will deduct their original package amount from the new package amount for the first month only. After the attorney upgrades, their monthly billing cycle will be charged the new package amount in full.

What If I (Attorney) Want To Downgrade My Monthly Package?

You have the opportunity to downgrade your package at any time. Please note that if you do decide to downgrade, the change in your monthly payment will be reflected in your next billing cycle. If you have any questions, please contact concierge@gololegal.com
